Sharpening his craft in storied New Orleans rooms like Tipitina's, the Maple Leaf, and Le Bon Temps Roule, twenty years of connections across the city brought in a dizzying array of players for this album: bassist Kevin Scott (Gov't Mule, Jimmy Herring Band), drummer and multi-instrumentalist Isaac Eady (Tedeschi Trucks Band), drummer Stanton Moore and bassist-producer Robert Mercurio (both of Galactic), Noah Young, Bill Daniel, Sam Shahin, Nick Ellman, Ian Bowman, & John Culbreth (all of Naughty Professor), singer and vocal producer Gabrielle Cavassa (Joshua Redman), singer Anjelika "Jelly" Joseph (Galactic, Tank & The Bangas), guitarist Ari Teitel (Dumpstaphunk, The Rumble), keyboardist Andriu Yanovski (David Shaw, The Rumble), guitarist Joe Pizzolato (Kelly Price, Hans Williams), composer and multi-instrumentalist Kelly Pratt (Arcade Fire, St. Vincent, David Byrne, Father John Misty), and many more. Co-Produced with Mercurio, the eight-track solo debut Here's The Thing is the record Kelly had been building to the whole time.

Through it all, Kelly has found solace and inspiration in the studio and on the stage. His songwriting navigates the complexities of life's cycles, candid struggles with mental health and the perils and pitfalls of substance abuse and addiction, and the peaks and valleys of personal relationships, ultimately delivering a message of hope and perseverance.
